Meet the Cabinet!

The cabinet members are appointed roles that cover various areas of campus. They work on their own projects and complete their own initiatives, overseen by the Chief of Staff and appointed by the ECOS President. 


Madison Vita (she/her)

Director of Elections - ecoselections@eckerd.edu


Madison Vita is a junior at Eckerd and plans on living in Europe in the future. In this position she shall oversee the elections for ECOS Executive positions with her committee. Furthermore, she works to advertise the elections and makes sure all related election events run smoothly.

Office of Inclusive Excellence Liaison  


In this position, they focus on making Eckerd a more inclusive and diverse campus. This can be done through events or by creating safe spaces for minorities on campus. 

Julianna Kinser

ECOS-ASPEC Liaison  


Julianna Kinser is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and is currently majoring in Economics and Math and minoring in Arabic. She loves meeting new people so don't be afraid to say hi if you see her around campus! ASPEC stands for Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College. This is a group of older adults dedicated to lifelong and intergenerational learning. There are plenty of opportunities available to students to interact with and benefit from ASPEC. Co-Director of Student Community Standards Board 


We listen to the student's side of an alleged violation and takes that into consideration while promoting a safe, respected on campus community. It's student run, so it's peers listening and considering the statements while determining if the student is or is not responsible for the alleged violation. We strive to be as fair as possible and carefully deliberate each case, so a student coming in for a meeting is always encouraged since it allows us to piece together the most accurate understanding of the alleged violation(s).

Lexi Datesman (she/her)

Director of Special Projects - 


Lexi Datesman is a junior at Eckerd College. A fun fact about her is she studied abroad in Tahiti and loves to travel! She is the Director of Special Projects on ECOS. She helps to contact and coordinate with clubs to bring fun and new events to Eckerd. She also works to further cultivate connections on our campus!

The Director of Visibility monitors all the ECOS social media accounts, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Kindall Sewell-Murphy (she/her)

Director of Palmetto Productions - palmetto@eckerd.edu


Kindall Sewell-Murphy is from Selma, Alabama and is here at Eckerd earning a degree in Biology and minoring in Human Development on the Sports Medicine Track. She is the Director of Palmetto Productions, the student activities board, on Eckerd College campus. Palmetto Productions puts together many major events at Eckerd, some to name but not limited to are Halloween Ball, Spring Ball, Kappa Karnival, Spring Concert, and many more! This board is full of fun and amazing leadership roles!! Kindall is also the Vice President of the Afro-American Society here at Eckerd!

Andrew Kennedy (he/him)

Building and Grounds Liaison 


Andrew is a senior at Eckerd College majoring in Anthropology and Animal Studies, and a minor in Spanish. As Building and Grounds Liaison he sits on the transportation committee and works with the executive staff to keep ECOS updated on ongoing projects through facilities, and also to ensure accessibility is kept in mind for such projects. In his free time, Andrew enjoys birdwatching, volunteering at Elmira’s Wildlife Sanctuary, and visiting coffee shops and museums around St. Pete! 

Jordan Mallis (they/them)

General Manager of WECX - wecx@eckerd.edu 


Jordan Mallis is a junior, double majoring in Music and Environmental Studies with a minor in Women Gender Studies. They have taken WECX 99.9 to a new level by reviving lost traditions, introducing new events, training hosts with our equipment, and monitoring WECX's booming social media. Jordan enjoys rock and roll, attending live music, and making collage art.


Madelyn Outman (she/her)

Director of Health and Wellness


Madelyn Outman is a sophomore at Eckerd this year. She is majoring in Political Science with minors in coastal management, law and justice and French. A fun fact about her is she went backpacking through the Smokies this past Summer! The Director of Health and Wellness for ECOS designs and maintains events regarding the mental health and overall wellness of the students on campus. Students are free to express any needs on campus in regards to their wellbeing. They accommodate students as much as possible and instill a healthy lifestyle. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to nutrition education, bystander intervention, and mental health.

Ashley Blake (she/her)

ECOS-Current Liaison

Ashley Blake, a senior from Kansas City, MO, is majoring in animal studies with minors in psychology and marine science here at Eckerd. She serves as an office assistant at Campus Activities, holds the position of communications chair for Trivia Club, and is the ECOS-Triton Publications Liaison. Ashley excels in bridging communication gaps between organizations, showcasing her commitment to fostering collaboration. Her academic focus on animal studies, psychology, and marine science aligns with her dedication to campus engagement. As she approaches graduation, Ashley's contributions reflect her leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for enhancing the collegiate experience.

Liam Couch (he/him)

Director of Technology

Liam Couch, a junior hailing from Georgia, is pursuing a major in animal studies with a minor in anthropology here at Eckerd. Beyond the classroom, Liam serves as a dedicated student tech on campus, providing technical support, and offers note-taking assistance for selected classes. A passionate reptile keeper, Liam brings a unique hobby to campus, currently housing a few reptiles on-site. In his role as the Director of Technology, Liam plays a crucial part in maintaining and updating the ECOS website. He ensures the platform remains a valuable resource for the campus community, featuring up-to-date information on current members and clubs. Liam Couch's commitment to technology and his love for animals converge in his diverse contributions, embodying a dynamic blend of technical expertise and a personal passion for animals.

Ellery Overstreet (they/them)

Director of Culinary Relations

Ellery Overstreet is a junior from North Carolina majoring in animal studies and minoring in biology and Spanish. A few of their other involvements on campus include being the ASL Club President and a club head of the QSA. They have a cat named Loki and a strong appreciation for animals that are often less popular. As the Director of Culinary Relations, they communicate directly with Cafe Bon Appetit and work to help bridge the gap between the student body and Eckerd's food services.
